WHERE ARE WE HEADED?

A healthy and vibrant church is a church that knows where it’s going and is focused on how to get there.  It’s been almost 8 years since St. Andrew began worshipping, so it’s time to step back, take a look at the “big” picture and get clarity on what God is calling THIS church to do and be.

Rev. Mary McKey, Presbytery of Tampa Bay’s Associate Executive for Nurture, has helped a number of churches and other organizations move through a process of gaining that clarity.  She will be leading an event for ALL church members that will result in a combination mission/vision statement.  It will have the following  characteristics:

1)      Simple enough for a 12-year-old to understand

2)      Easy enough to remember that you could recite it if called upon to do so in public

3)      Short enough to fit on a t-shirt

4)      Have a visual component to represent the statement

Please join us for this pivotal event in the life of the church.  It will be the equivalent of making a course adjustment while on a long sailing trip, and will have the same far-reaching impact.

The event will have two parts:   

Friday, March 26 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00

Saturday, March 27 from 9:00 until 3:00 at the latest

(Most groups finish earlier!)
